What is Dermalux LED?
Dermalux LED is a relaxing and pain-free skin treatment, suitable for a variety of conditions.
High quality LED lights, expertly aligned, deliver each wavelength at a specific, measured energy output, intensity and dose.
The treatment uses three different LED wavelengths at the same time, meaning that treatment times can be kept to a minimum.
The LEDs trigger the skin-enhancing processes, meaning that visible benefits continue to appear, even after the treatment is finished.

Dermalux LED can treat a variety of skin conditions, including:
- Premature Ageing

Dermalux LED
FAQs
Does Dermalux LED work on all skin types?
The treatment times have been measured to ensure optimum results. Darker skin may require longer exposure times to have the same level of effectiveness.
Can makeup be worn immediately following treatment?
Yes. The treatment will be followed with the application of suitable skin care products including a sunscreen. Makeup can then be applied.
How many treatments will I need?
The number of treatments can vary depending on age, skin type and condition. With Dermalux LED, the results are cumulative and improvement will continue even after the treatment course has been completed. A course of regular treatments will achieve optimum results and maintenance treatments may also be recommended. Furthermore, as phototherapy does not cause harm to the skin, there is no limit to the amount of treatment you wish to have. An individual treatment plan will be discussed during your consultation.
Do the results last?
Results can last for several months following a course of Dermalux LED treatments. However, as with any skin treatment, maintenance sessions are recommended to ensure lasting results.
When can I expect to see results?
Visible effects are immediate. After just one treatment, skin is visibly hydrated, plump and luminous and any redness and irritation is calmed.
Is the treatment safe?
Phototherapy does not use any heat or chemicals, nor does it contain harmful UV wavelengths and so cannot damage skin cells. Dermalux LED provides one of the safest ways to treat all skin types and conditions without harming the skin or causing any unwanted side effects or downtime.
Can the results be seen straight away?
Following treatment, there are some immediate visible changes in the skin but most changes will occur over a course of treatments. Results can continue to improve up to 4 - 6 weeks after a course as the effects of phototherapy continue to rejuvenate and improve the quality of the skin.
How many treatments are required?
This can vary with age, skin type and condition. A single session will help to boost vital hydration, improve clarity and help to calm irritated skin. However, a course of treatments taken at regular intervals will achieve optimum results. Maintenance sessions are also recommended.
Is Dermalux LED the best treatment for my skin?
Everyone can benefit from Dermalux LED. It has been clinically-proven to help reverse the signs of ageing, heal inflammatory skin conditions such as acne, and it accelerates healing. It helps damaged, injured or diseased skin cells return to optimum health. LED treatment can also be used in conjunction with other advanced skin therapies, such as Skinpen microneedling, Hydrafacial and chemical or enzyme peels, to promote enhanced results and faster healing.
What skin conditions can be treated with Dermalux LED?
LED Phototherapy is clinically proven for the treatment of a vast range of skin conditions including the signs of premature ageing, pigmentation, sun damage, dehydration, open pores, acne and blemishes, rosacea, eczema and psoriasis.
Are there any side effects to the treatment?
No. There is no risk of side effects or down time. There have been no reported side effects in over 1,700 clinical studies and it does not harm the body or skin in any way.
Is this treatment safe?
LED Phototherapy is a heat-free treatment that does not contain harmful UV wavelengths and therefore cannot damage skin tissue or create photosensitivity. It is clinically-proven to be safe for all skin types and even the most sensitive skin conditions, including rosacea, acne, dermatitis and eczema.
Will it give me a tan?
No. LED Phototherapy does not contain the harmful UV rays that stimulate the melanin in the skin to produce a ‘sun tan’ effect. However, the Dermalux LED treatment will stimulate hydration and blood circulation in the skin to instantly give your skin a healthy and radiant glow.
Can I go in the sun after LED Phototherapy?
Yes. As this treatment does not create photosensitivity, it is a safe treatment directly pre- and post-sun exposure. In fact, it is proven to be beneficial at this time to strengthen and replenish the skin and repair damage caused by UV exposure.
